Welcome to Grade 12 Civil Services, Plumbing.

This course is the sixth one of twelve that you will be studying during this year.

We have created videos for you to watch together with your textbook. This makes learning each module so much easier. At any point, you will be able to pause the video, or go back and re-watch it.

Find the name of your prescribed textbook under the Materials tab. Any other handouts/summaries will also be under the Materials tab. At the beginning of every module, we will let you know what pages in the textbook you need to look at. We will also let you know if there is an assignment for that module or if there will be a test/quiz at the end of the course.

Joining

Back in 2000BC, the Chinese used hollow bamboo reeds to carry fresh water, by 1596 the first flushable toilet was invented. In 1848 the national public health Act is passed in England, becoming a role model in plumbing codes for the rest of the world.

Being able to join lengths of pipe was an innovation on its own, making indoor plumbing accessible to large numbers of people.
