ABOUT CIVIL SERVICES
Civil Services is South Africa’s official free digital learning platform for the Civil Services subject, the technical high school stream that introduces learners to the world of plumbing, construction, and water infrastructure.
Created by the professional Body for Plumbers the Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB) in partnership with the Department of Basic Education this platform transforms the Grade 10–12 Civil Services curriculum into an engaging, modern online experience, with the intention of making, every lesson moves you closer to being work-ready.
PIRB Civil Services aims to build competent, confident, and career-ready learners, restoring pride and professionalism in the trades that keep our country running.
HOW TO REGISTER
For Learners:
Use your school details or the code provided by your teacher to access your Civil Services class.- Once logged in, you’ll find your Grade 10, 11 or 12 lessons, videos, and assignments ready to begin.
- Work through each module at your own pace — your teacher can track your progress and guide you along the way.
For Teachers:
- Sign up or /log in using your teacher account.
- Access ready-made lessons and expert teaching resources aligned with the Department of Education curriculum.
- Create your onw virtual classroom, add learners, and track their progress in real time.
- Blend your own teaching with industry-led lessons to bring real-world learning in your classroom.
